About Jen + Kim Shoes
Our
business is run by two women who are perfect partners. They have not
only known each other since the sixth grade ... they work together
seamlessly to provide impeccable custom shoes on both coasts. Kim is
West Coast based and handles design and production and Jen is East Coast
based and handles sales and finance.
We
started our business with the money out of our pockets and have grown
it into a self sustaining business that funds its own success. Jen +
Kim Shoes builds their shoe collection in California and are proud to
support domestic manufacturing. Shoes used to be a big business in Los
Angeles but in the 80's, many companies took production overseas. Our
industry lost at least 95% of what used to be domestic production
overseas and it is one of our missions to help bring that number back
up.
Our
other mission is to have a good time doing what we love. So we offer
our customers the opportunity to host custom shoe parties where we bring
our Jen + Kim Shoe samples and material options to the agreed upon
venue and the hosts guests are able to customize and be sized for their
individual shoes. We offer each host of our custom parties the option
of either receive a free pair of shoes once six pairs are sold at the
event or to donate 5% of our sales to the charity of their choice. We
have given to both The Painted Turtle foundation and most recently The
Stuart House in Los Angeles.
